The following charts are  from the On-Rolls and Paid Employee Statistics . It is interesting to note that the CLERK Craft numbers has dwindled from a high of 293,829 in 1998 to 202,438 as of December 2007, Pay Period 26. The Rural Carriers Craft numbers continue to increase (68, 166). City Carriers also continue to decrease in numbers from 224,218 (2006) to 219,651 (2007). The largest increase is the number of casuals 17,206 (2006) to 38,743 (2007) and Non-REC TEs which increased from Zero?? (2006) to 11,950 (2007) .
